At Bike Barn we pride ourselves on supporting the Houston Cycling Community.  We show that support through our commitments with various rides and charities around the greater Houston area.  In addition, we strive to enhance your experience and share our passion for cycling by providing free weekly rides. The weekly rides start from each of our store locations and are very casual. Please visit this page periodically for all the latest information on these and other rides in the area.

This race at Double Lake features a 9 miles lap through the Sam Houston National Forest and is some of the best mountain biking in the area. If you've never been to Double Lake before, head up Saturday to pre-ride the course!

We start at the Stella Hotel at the Lake Walk campus in Bryan, Texas. You can choose from a 20, 40, 70 or 100 mile ride.

Bicycles welcome in the sanctuary (but please leave your cleats at the door). Reception after the service to refuel for the ride home. Mar 10, 2018Pedal thru the PinesBastrop, TXPedal thru the Pines is an on the road cycling event benefiting the Family Crisis Center. Participating cyclists may choose from routes of 24 miles, 40 miles, or 70 miles. The Pedal ride is a recommended training ride for the BP MS150.

Magnolia is nestled in the Southwest corner of Montgomery County, just Northwest of Houston. B-geO Magnolia Miles is a fully supported ride with emphasis on safety and security. The ride provides police escort, ride marshals, corner marshals, and six rest stops with plenty of tasty snacks and refreshments.

Apr 8, 2018Bluebonnet ExpressWaller, TXThe 28th annual Bluebonnet Express will be held on April 8, 2018 and will start from the Waller ISD Stadium in Waller, Texas, 45 miles NW of Houston. This fully supported ride is one of the Houston area’s oldest rides and is presented by Northwest Cycling Club. Four different distances/routes will be offered, traversing both South and North of Hempstead staying mostly on country roads. Cyclists will encounter both flat sections and gentle rollers. This BP MS 150 recommended ride is only a few weeks before the MS 150 which makes this an excellent training opportunity.

The route to and from Anderson will have just enough elevation to help you get ready for the BP MS 150.

Apr 28, 2018BP MS 150Houston, TXThe BP MS 150 is a two-day fundraising bike ride organized by the National MS Society. The ride is the largest event of its kind in North America, with 13, 000 cyclists, 3, 500 volunteers, and countless spectators along the route and at the finish line in Austin. The fundraising goal for the 2018 BP MS 150 is $14 million dollars to bring hope to many who are affected by multiple sclerosis. Join us April 28 & 29. Bike Barn is the primary sponsor of the Space City Cycling Club whose mission it is to promote cycling as both a sport and as a recreational activity for the entire family. All cyclists are invited to participate in the organized Club rides conditional upon the wearing of proper safety gear and obeying safety rules and traffic laws.
